About Water Care

The truth about water care is that the long term management of our diminishing water levels depends on the integrity of each and every Australian to do their bit. Whatever our financial and physical abilities, every decision we make about the way we use water makes a difference.  The irony is that it is very simple to make a big difference and the biggest and fastest difference comes from simply being aware of how we use water and the consequences of our actions.  From how much we treat one single drop on the kitchen bench to the trillions of drops we wash down the drain.

We can’t just buy our way out of the water crisis. We all need to change.

Governments are developing recycling and conservation methods and policy to save water at a community level, but those measures alone won’t be enough. Giving to a charity or signing a petition won’t do it. Simply, every one of us can make a difference by thinking about the way we use water, using less water and building water conservation into our daily lives and becoming more personally accountable for water use. And the best thing is – it costs you nothing!

Every day in every way – don’t be a mindless lemming

Don’t consume mindlessly, think about what you do. The little differences you can make every day to the rate at which you consume all resources, including water will make a massive difference over time. Rich or poor, young or old, muslim or christian, gay or straight, we all need water to survive.

The changes you make might be as small and simple as not allowing taps to run or as big and involved as a sustainable household system.  Whatever you are prepared to do, start by doing something – anything that gets you started and makes you more aware of how you use water and limit its use.

Start Now! Begin to Take Water Care Personally Today!

Stop wasting water now. Make a personal pledge to save water in any way you can – from today! Tell your friends about it and ask them to do the same.

The small actions of each individual can make a big difference and if we all act together with integrity, we can ensure that Australia retains its quality of life – for all of us right now, our children and our children’s children.  We all need to develop a far greater appreciation and management of the management of our lives and our entire interconnected environment.
